the thing about fire emblem radiant dawn is that it's been almost 20 years and i still don't know another video game that followed up its quite well-told but traditional fantasy story of heroes and princesses with a deconstruction of how the conquered enemy nation recovers and how just being good and heroic doesn't protect the people and the road to hell being paved with good intentions and how oaths are made and broken and how propaganda can grow out of good deeds and the horrifying burden of living with your choices and the nature of leadership and power and whether or not the world needs gods
and also naesala is there
