[ spoiler: it me. I’ve been extremely fortunate in the past few weeks to be able to shelter in place under the pandemic provisions after several weeks working through the pandemic, but I’ve been given notice that our store is fully re-opening and that if I don’t return to work my ROE will be re-issued to disqualify me from being eligible to collect benefits and I can’t afford to not be working. I’ve gone through just about all the stages of grief since getting the news, as the reason I stopped working was in order to minimize my chance of being a vector to my immediate family, who all have pre-existing breathing conditions.

The shiv Tenn used at the end of E2 was a Mitch design given to him for self defense. While he rarely used it and would almost certainly balk at wielding it against a real, live person, Tenn kept it on him at all times for emergencies. Mitch taught him how to handle it without hurting himself, as well as the most effective places to stab a walker with only a child’s height and weight behind it.

The shiv was taken from him when he was caught by the Delta. He never got it back. It’s one of the many losses he mourned quietly and privately during his absence if he survived the bridge sequence.

Mitch is the first person who managed to convince Tenn to swear on a dare. The word was ‘ass’ and Tenn looked like he was going to spontaneously combust for about ten minutes afterward.
