Changing your shape from a human to an animal takes some creative tailoring, this is a guide about how to create shapes for your fursuit that make you not so human. Do you want to make it look like you’re walking on your toes? That is called “digitigrade”. How about having a more animalistic chest or a cute chubby tummy? With this guide I will share my tips to create the illusion that you are a larger-than-life character! 

Departing from the human form is an advanced technique in fursuit-making, so it helps to have sewing and patterning experience in your background, and that you know how to use a sewing machine. This guide assumes this background knowledge.

So, I’m not great at this kinda thing considering most of the time I just follow tutorials myself and use lots of refs, and I encourage you to do so as well! But here’s some basic knowledge I have of a few things, though the boobs one could use work. I break a lot of those rules myself sometimes, and that’s okay. Go out of the norm if you’d like :) It’s fun and normal to want to experiment and play around with ideas!
