Tenacious Twenties

I believe in energy and I also believe that we attract the type of energy that we let out. If you are a kind and loving person, you tend to attract kind and loving energy from others and the universe at large.

I’ve always been proud about the people that I surround myself with. I have such loving friends, a phenomenal boyfriend, dear coworkers and even the strangers I interact with have treated me with the deepest kindness. I believe in the goodness in people and I tend to always receive it.  I have always believed that I attract these people into my life because I have made good decisions and treated others with love, always.

Lately, I have noticed a few instances of bad energy coming from different areas of my life. At first, I had an instance of victimization. I asked “Why me?” but then i recalled that I am responsible for what I reap.

I thoughts to myself what I could do to change the energy flow in my life. I realized that I have been engaging in some negativity myself in the form of silly gossip and impatience.

I reminded myself that we have one shot at life, and I always want to take full responsibility for it. It is not worth it to engage in negativity in any form, with anyone. It is also vital to remove negatively from your own life because we are all responsible for whose energy we let into our lives. Sometimes responsibility is in the form of removing what doesn’t work.

I write this as a reminder to myself but also to others that it is necessary to:

Check in with ourselves to see what role we play, always.

Remove what doesn’t work for us.

And change what is in our control.
