Enjoy these Paleo and low-carb Cajun onion rings as a delicious and crispy snack or side dish. They are coated with a flavorful blend of almond and coconut flours, as well as a mix of Cajun spices for that extra kick.
Ingredients: 2 large sweet onions. 1 cup almond flour. 1/4 cup coconut flour. 2 tsp paprika. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp onion powder. 1 tsp cayenne pepper. 1/2 tsp salt. 2 large eggs. Coconut oil for frying.
Instructions: The sweet onions should be peeled and cut into thick rings. Almond flour, coconut flour, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt should all be combined in a bowl. Blend thoroughly. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. Make sure every onion ring is completely coated by dipping it into the beaten eggs. Then, brush the onion ring dipped in egg with the almond flour mixture, pressing it firmly to adhere on both sides. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, warm the coconut oil. The coated onion rings should be carefully lowered into the hot oil and fried for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are crispy and golden brown. After taking the onion rings out of the oil, drain any extra oil by placing them on a plate covered with paper towels. Warm up some Cajun onion rings and serve them with your preferred Paleo dipping sauce.
