Chapter 5 is one of the best, if not the best chapter in deltarune. The music was PERFECT. Secret boss was AMAZING, and the entire chapter as a whole was 10/10. It's partially because this was my first chapter going in having basically not been spoiled at all. And that really paid off. I had to steamroll through rest of chapter 3 and chapter 4, and skip the knight fight. But lowkey it was worth it. I MEAN THEIR HAIR BLOWS IN THE WIND IN THE CLIFFS HOW COOL IS THAT

The GARDEN was my least favorite area but that's literally only because the other ones were so good. Flowery gets a lot of hate due to his annoying personality some say, but I love him. The cliffs had incredible views and Aqua and Seth were really fun characters (and had banger music). But you know what's better than 3 of the flowers? ALL 7. Castle was a fun zone where we got to know all of the flowers, and they were all super funny. I literally grinded 1 thousand flowery dollars at the infinite flowery dollar box, and paid to see EVERY break between the characters. Toby wanted us to have more interactions with these characters, because he knew they ain't making it out of this chapter. Castle Top had an AMAZING song and felt super climactic

The secret boss was great. Very interesting fight and seeing the purple soul come back was cool.THE FUCKING VOMB ATTACK THOUGH YHAT WAS NOT AS COOL. Also Susie and Ralsei butchered my chances at getting Kris a girl(?)friend. The secret boss rewards were cool (I got the apron cowboy hat and knife btw)

THE FIGHT AGAINST FLOWERY NOW THAT WAS CINEMA. (I don't have a picture) Orange soul mode was cool, although my ONLY complaint was that most attacks were pretty similar. But c'mon the rest was so cool. I mean to start neither of the two sides are really the bad guys. The flowers just want to have consciousnesses and dreams, and support Asgore. While we want to stop the apocalypse, but they don't really understand that. The fact he was calling over every flower and them helping him was so cool. The nicest part were the little flavor texts where it said stuff like "Flowery shows Aqua how to hold a knife safely" or "Flowery teaches Seth to be more confident" Like c'mon he is just a father to them😭😭

AND "FLOWER MAN" THE SOUNDTRACK!! It was really an attack in itself because I was so busy reading the lyrics I got hit a bunch. But it's so good lemme go add it to my playlist. And then Ralsei gets taken to jail and Susie throws you up for a incredibly climactic final climb. It's js peak🥹🥹

And after getting to the top Flowery goes into "Omega Flowery mode (hmm no references there no.) and you just start duking it out with the sun in the background like HOLY PEAK. And then you both fall to the ground. We get a vague asgore monologue that some people are mad about because it's so vague. (I'm not because it's peak enough already)

And then you say goodbye to each flower as they turn back to a regular flower😭😭😭 I genuinely started crying when I saw this on my screen.

These were genuinely my top 3 favorite DELTARUNE characters (yes all 7 in one spot, my most favorite is Flowery and then Aqua though)And they are gone. They all thank you for taking part in their dream and they ask you individually if they did a good job of fulfilling their dreams. I went to every one of them and said goodbye😭

And then we go to seal the fountain

AND THE KNIGHT OPENS ANOTHER ONE TO KEEP THE WORLD HERE TO KIDNAP ASGORE

AND FLOWERY COMES TO THE RESCUE

And he aurafarms and ACTUALLY BEATS THE KNIGHTS CUTSCENE MAGIC

BUT THE DAMN KNIGHT SLICES HIM IN HALF😭😭😭😭

My favorite character, Sliced in half just like that. I was in tears broo.😭

Overall this chapter was cinema. Music was top tier, story was great. Lacking in big lore drops but that makes sense. This chapter was the calm before the storm. One last fun journey before it really gets serious (roaring chapter 6 end probably) To be fair Flowery literally says that he senses something really bad and dark happening beneath the town, but he believes we can stop it. Ralsei went on a character arc, hating on flowery in the beginning, but later starting to like him and getting sad when he dies ( Me too Ralsei)

Genuinely 10/10 chapter

Also my personal theory time.

We see Susie preparing a welcoming party for Noelle, as she realizes that they need to tell someone about the dangerous things that are going on, someone close And they build a room and everything. I'm predicting that we wake up in chapter 6. We head to castle town and enjoy the usual stuff. And then the town gets attacked, by the roaring knight. We engage in a epic battle, and it ends with the knight kidnapping Noelle. (As like a hostage, or a sacrifice, or bait for Susie to enter the shelter.) So what if, chapter 6 takes place in the shelter, because we have the code right? Why not just go there now? So we go down there and shit happens I guess, we like fight the knight or gaster or something idk. And then the roaring starts, and the chapter ends. And then chapter 7 opens with Kris waking up in the ruins of the shelter, and having to run out of there. As they come out. They are greeted by a hometown actively being swallowed by the darkness. Every location turns into a dark world counterpart, and it's really chaotic. Yeah I didn't think further then that theory done ok thanks for reading my chapter 5 rant.
