Among all my lame thoughts, Frontier has popped out here and there more than twice, OF COURSE, and I’ve also found myself thinking it could have been so, so, so interesting to see Wind and Water lines opposing to each other also visually and conceptually. For example, they could have been explicitedly inspired from the different interpretations Syrens’ figure got through centuries. On a side you’d have Water resembling the Syrens we all are used to, their medieval, folkloristic form; on the other you’d have Wind being inspired from their Greek and original representation, so the one imagining them as bird women.

It’s funny to point out all the conceptual connections Ranamon and Fairymon have got; how they both are tied to Italy and Greece, with Ancientmermaimon being told to live in a temple exactly looking like the Parthenon and Calamaramon having some attacks in italian just like Fairymon, (Nero Corso). So it would have been so amazing to merge the two main sources of their lines by throwing in the Syrens. Actually, in the Odyssey it is explained they believed these creatures lived in a very specific spot in Calabria, so yeah, Italy.

And I’ll tell you more: one of them, Parthenope, became the symbol of Naples because her suicide, -which happened due to Odysseus resisting to her and her sister’s chant-, gave birth to the first nucleus of the city, a little island called Parthenope. And yet, Parthenope started being portayed like this and this is what she still is to our folklore nowadays: a fish woman…But there also are statues and also literature pieces portraying her in her original form.

It’s never late!!! I’ve loved Junzumi since summer 2021 and I will never stop ANY soon. I want to feel like a Pokeshipper holding onto their OTP until they grow old, whether it has sunk or not. There are so many JP and Zoe moments!

When he’s so determined to get her digimon spirit back (when first encountering Grumblemon).

I really like how JP doesn’t shy away from talking about Takuya and Koji when Zoe is worried about them. Even when JP has a crush on her, he has the conversation no problem. I was nervous that the writers would do his character jealous of the rest of the guys in the group.

And even when he does want extra attention, it’s not creepy or anything? Dunno how to explain it. Like his crush moments are endearing! JP has a nice respect for Zoe! And she has the same for him!

And oh my gosh I love their nicknames for each other!

Plus their cute moments on the beach before Ranamon got there!

And how they love to eat large amounts too! Based on that, Zoe wins them Trailmon tickets! And it’s not made into a running joke like most media (movies, tv shows, anime, cartoons, books). That was great!

I like how they totally root for each other when in their digivolved forms too! During the episode with the baby digimon and they each do things to stop the flood. When Zoe beats Ranamon. When JP wins back her digimon spirit from Grumblemon.

Plus when they hug each other! And praise each other with compliments!

I really believe they have the strongest friendship (and more hinted at in the anime and cd drama)! Versus other seasons of Digimon. Zoe and JP open up a lot while talking to one another!

So anyways, I’m glad I found your blog a while back and that you support Junpei x Izumo too!

Anyway, Junpei looks more like a bear than human Kenai ever did. So this makes it even more hilarious. I should turn Tomoki and Junpei into bears once, because it’s funny.

The boy has got platinum-tier tastes, he’s refined inside and we can’t do anything about it. It’s even more *particular* when you realize in Tourin’s Olympics Pavarotti sang “Nessun Dorma” and yet the writers chose to make Junpei discover a lifetime goal thanks to Shizuka Arakawa’s program revolving around the same aria lmao.

It’s so????? Precisely random??? Randomly precise???? I love a son suddenly discovering himself being poetic and sportive at the same time.

He will surprise you all, Izumi included, showing that he can decently ice skate because will is power. Actually I am enamoured with a friend’s idea about Junpei learning three/four ice skating moves to impress Izumi and then still managing to fall on his ass very hard that day itself.
