The reasoning behind this decision is that I mostly only blog about dolls these days, so having my doll blog just as a secondary blog didn’t allow me to feel connected to the doll community (Since I assume many people, whose posts I’ve liked previously, saw my main blog and thought “oh, just another no doll person I guess” and didn’t know I was in the hobby too.)

So, to store my previous works and posts, this blog, http://teatimedollapparel.tumblr.com/, will remain online as a secondary blog, but from today onwards, new posts will be made under this url.

The adventures of Meili and the mischievous fly~

We had a go at making some props for the dolls last night and my sister decided to finish sewing the bear plush for me, so we completed him too.

Working on improving the ladies vest pattern. Changed the length and used lining for the back. The vest length reaches the waistline of my default skirt pattern.

For the weekend fun times, I started making this wig and I also dismantled a part of another wig for a visual overhaul.

Current wig is made on a hard wig cap, using regular sheep fur hairs that have been coffee dyed.

First of three commissions finished!

The set included pants, shirt, bow-tie and a lined jacket. Fabric patterns and clothes design based on clients reference image.

It was my first time making a full classical jacket for the dolls. The results looked awesome.

A gold wire Viking knit necklace with a slightly Egyptian pendant.

It's a neat technique for making interesting looking "chain".  And the necklace is long enough to be worn as a bracelet on a 16 cm wrist.

The reason I love adhesive back paper. (Iron on)

No pins in the tiniest of pattern pieces required for doll clothes. I haven't had a chance to get this paper lately, but I recently got a workplace where they print clothes patterns on paper like this and there are scraps left over sometimes. And the pieces are perfect for making doll sized patterns on.

Currently working on a few commissions of really patient clients (They were told I had no time next to Uni beforehand). Hopefully I'll get this particular order done within the week! Now if only they sold nice striped elastic here in Estonia.... I need to make suspenders dammit!
