WE taking turns to take photos of eachother is the sweetest thing in the world. I always loved the pictures of them at the bottom and then @godblesswe shared the top two recently and I noticed how often they did it.

The Duchess had already been there for a few days and went to the airport to meet the Duke when he arrived. Wallis is protecting her hair and David is protecting Wallis on a very windy day.

Forty years ago today Wallis Windsor passed away, she was 89. I have been thinking of what I should post today for a couple weeks, but I think her reflecting on her life in the 1950s and acknowledging how full a life she led is too accurate of a summary of a pretty insane 89 years to not post. There is of course a million and one anecdotes and adjectives I could use to elaborate on the fullness of her life but I feel these photos speak louder than words.
