I don’t disagree with many writing choices in Dark. It’s too well written to do that. Aleksander and Regina not getting together in the true world though, that was a misstep I think. Zero reason they shouldn’t have, even from a canon standpoint. Regina is not better off without him, without a man who looks his son dead in the eyes after admitting his biggest mistake and says that his wife is the best thing that ever happened to him. Nothing is broken by having a terrified young man, bleeding and lost, bump into a lonely young woman in the woods. They’re messy, but they’re wonderful, they’re the healthiest relationship on the show. If Claudia’s goal was Regina happy and alive, it would be best achieved with them both.
