Over the Mighty Mac!!

So begins another Team DiFranco summer vacation! First stop, Petoskey MI!

Spring 2017 work on Fern. Paint, kitchen, wiring fix and tv hook-up!

Day 16 - little things before the jamboree! A/c hooked up and tested, trim added to the fridge and a privacy curtain added for Renzo.

End of Reno pt. 1 culminated in a lovely test run at Empire Township campground!

Day 15 - short bit of work this morning fitting the mattress, curtains and flashing. I also touched up some paint on the back.

Day 14 - painted some stuff, Shelli made curtains and I tore out that awful AC window unit. But the best news of all is I was able to get her in and out of the garage!!! Wins all around. test run is just 48 hours away!

Day 13 - all about floors, paint and solving the puzzle of the removable hood vent. It's all coming together. Shout out to Shelli for fixing my paint mistake and staying up with me wayyyy past our bed time to get the first coat on. Wins all around. Tomorrow Fern leaves the garage...

Day 12 - finished caulking and started laying those sweet floor boards! Paint tomorrow!!!

Day 11 - Walls walls walls!!! She's coming together. Did all the insulation and new wall panels. Ripped out the old furnace and sanded some areas in prep for painting. Computer monitor also mounted for entertainment! Next up paint!

Day 10 - tested out some paint options on ol' Fern. Looks like we've found our green! Started adding insulation and paneling as well.

Day 9 - Renzo sleeps and Dad patches the hole from the vent above the fridge! If you ever want to feel cool, go rivet something.

Day 8 - today we painted the 17 (yes that many) drawers that reside inside Fern. We were able to up-cycle some paint from when we first moved in making this a $0 facelift. Also today I fixed the chipped veneer and removed some rot around the bedroom window.

Day 7 - a few odds and ends tonight. New shore power outlet added, Shelli helped me re-enforce the bed and I re-wired the trailer lights. Next up on the list, fixing up and removing the rot in the rear and prepping the bedroom for insulation!

Day 6 - all the wiring is complete and surprisingly enough, working! Put 4 new outlets in place (a/c, fridge, monitor and phone charger and kitchen) and saved two old light fixtures (main area and kitchen counter). Next up, new shore power outlet and seal, removal of the excess paneling and strengthening of the bed.

Day 5 - New breakers for Ms. Fern! Thanks again for Chadsistance Chad. Pulled out and disconnected the ole cloth and rubber wire and ran new 12/2 on 4 separate runs. Next up? Outlets for the TV, Fridge and AC.

Day four of Fern renovations, pulling out all the bad electrical in preparation for wiring and Shelli finding a baby crib that fits inner wren the dinette set. Wins all around.
