Good morning, evening, or perhaps night.
Sit back, listen to some music and start reading, itās a short one.
Something that Iāve recently given a lot of thought is the concept of skincare (which Iām quite fond of). More specifically, the benefits and downsides of it. For this part you might need some slightā¦context. So, Iāve for multiple years had a whole bunch of not-so-gorgeous pimples and blackheads on my nose, which I donāt personally think is a good look on me, theyāve even made me slightly insecure at times. Iād say that I own a whole lot of skincare, mostly moisturizers and cleansers, and all of them have been working for a pretty long time. Now the interesting part is that I, a pro in the matter of skincare, was stupid enough to keep using an exfoliator that made my skin BURN. Now as stupid as I was I didnāt expect anything bad to happen, you know. Spoiler alert; I was wrong.
One evening after washing my face and exfoliating it I felt that it burned a little more than it used to, but didnāt give it to much thought, and just washed it off, like I normally would. The next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and happy. Good for you, you might think, but no no no. I made my bed as usual, put on my headband and went to the bathroom to you know wash my face, when I noticed something absolutely horrifying. ( okay this was a little dramatic but anyway) I looked in the mirror just to see about nine or ten new and absolutely humongous pimples on my beautiful face. I ran back to my bedroom to get the softest and nicest products that I could find, and took some care of my face. The very next day most of the pimples were gone, but a slight āclusterā of red pimples on my forehead was still very very visible. Now this was, you know a while ago. Iām much smarter now. Okay it kinda happened about a week and a half ago but you get the point. Iāve learned my lesson.
Pro tip: donāt use bad products.
Thanks for coming to my TED-talk.
