Could you maybe write some physical affection/romantic headcanons for ennui? Like cuddling and kisses etc lol kind of like the one you wrote about anxiety. If not that’s okay! :D

~Ennui physical affection/romantic hcs~

I’m honestly not too sure how Ennui feels about physical contact, due to the fact that she was pretty distant in the movie, and never attempted to engage in physical contact herself. However, when the others touched her, (like when Envy ran up to her and hugged her, cause she was scared of the pipes falling), she didn’t seem to have a problem with it. Therefore, I think that Ennui wouldn’t mind having a partner that was touchy and clingy, as long as it’s not waaay too overbearing.

She probably kind of likes it whenever you walk over to her, as she’s laying on the couch on her phone, and snuggle up to her. Ennui lets out a low chuckle, and keeps doing her thing, whilst letting you lay against or on top of her. Maybe she even wraps her arm around your shoulders as well.

When it comes to her asking you for cuddles, she would be pretty forward about it, unlike Anxiety. Ennui would straight up just pat the spot beside her, whilst looking at you with her usual bored expression, waiting for you to go over and join her.

“I want to cuddle. Come over here. Now… s'il te plait (please)”

When Ennui feels extra bored, she’ll let out a dramatic groan as she leans on you, her body going limp, and she slumps over you like a worm.

Ennui probably wouldn’t get embarrassed that often, if someone teases her about you two being in a relationship, and being affectionate, she’ll most likely just roll her eyes at them, whilst muttering a small insult in French. Only if they where being mean about it though, and potentially hurting you, otherwise she wouldn’t really care. It’s way too much work to care about stuff, unless it’s about you or her phone.

I personally think Ennui’s main love language would be physical touch, mainly because it takes the least work, but still shows that she cares. She really does care, it’s just too tiresome to go out and buy flowers, or something. Therefore, Ennui mainly sticks with giving you hugs and all, and sleeping on you, it’s easy, but sweet. She would also give you some compliments, nicknames, and words of affirmation as a way of showing affection from time to time.

Movie dates, and playing random phone games on the couch with her is a must! She really likes spending quality time with you, by doing chill activities like that.

We’ve learned from the book ‘Go to sleep, Anxiety’ that Ennui kinda… doesn’t sleep.

“Who needs sleep anyway?”

Although I feel like her sleep schedule might get a little better if her significant other was in the picture. You would practically force her to come and cuddle with you instead of staying on her phone all night, and even though Ennui let out a bunch of groans, complaints and a decent amount of eye rolling, you finally got her into bed with you. She deserves a good night sleep<3

Ennui gives of major big spoon every-

She likes to wrap her long, slim limbs around you, hugging you tight like a teddy bear.

I don’t think Ennui would initiate much in kisses, that’s usually up to you, but she does take charge sometimes when she’s feeling extra flirty.

Honestly, she would be pretty chill about kisses, she finds them cute and all, but she doesn’t become a blushing mess or anything (like Anxiety).

She likes giving you forehead kisses, and she loves giving you kisses on your knuckles! You could simply be chilling by the console, and the next thing you know, Ennui is holding your hand in hers. She lifts it up to her mouth, and places a small kiss to your knuckles, before murmuring in her low voice:

“Bonjour, mon amor~ are you having a nice day? Not too boring?”

On a few occasions, when Ennui’s feeling really ballsy, she goes in for the full on ‘on the mouth’ kiss. She’s really good at French kissing (see what I did there?🌝).

She really likes kissing and snuggling you, she just feels like it’s too much work sometimes, and would rather you take the initiative, but when Ennui actually decides to put in a little effort, she can be pretty smooth and romantic~

~Ennui x Love emotion reader~

When you first appeared in the HQ as the new emotion representing love, Ennui honestly wouldn’t care. You were just another emotion, nothing special, she might even find you a little annoying. Something about the way you always seemed so hyper and talkative kind of pissed her off. You were just always so…. out there.

“You care too much about things”

However, as time went by, and Ennui got more used to your presence, she would tolerate you more and more. You were an extrovert (unlike her), and talked a lot to everyone, including her, causing her to slowly start getting to know you more. She even started to find your company…. quite nice. You would lay on the couch beside her as she scrolled on her phone, maybe even playing with her hair a little, or snuggling up to her. And even though she did find your flirtations to be a bit irritating, a small blush could still be seen on her cheeks.

Once the purple emotion came to the realization that she liked you, after some time of knowing you, she wouldn’t know what to do. She had never been in this situation before, and especially not with someone as vibrant and romantic as you. Ennui wouldn’t wanna admit to crushing on you, she would keep it to herself and try to act casually, although you did notice that she was avoiding eye contact a little more than usual.

The way you found out that she liked you was probably accidental. She might have fallen asleep on the couch whilst playing on her phone, and mumbled something in her sleep.

“Mmh… they are so flirty and annoying… but they’re so cute… ugh, why do I want them so bad?”

Then she went back to mumbling stuff in French. You, Anxiety, Envy and all the other emotions at the console just stood there, mouths wide open like a fish, and eyes as round as plates. When Ennui woke up a little later you took her somewhere private to talk about it, and boy was she embarrassed. It’s super rare to see Ennui look anything other than bored, but when you told her what she had said in her sleep, she looked totally frozen in place and flustered as hell. She had basically just told you that she likes you in front of the whole headquarters… yikes. Luckily, the feelings where returned<3

When you two finally started dating it would be like a super hyper and chill girlfriend duo. You would always be gushing about romance and love, talking a bunch and all that, while she would listen and nod along.

She takes sneak photos of you and keep them in a special album on her phone, I’m sorry-

Ennui would secretly really enjoy it when you got touchy with her, she might roll her eyes, or groan, but she actually loves it. Whenever you cuddle up with her, give her kisses or play with her hair, she feels all warm inside, and a small smile can be seen on her face. I also think she would find it sweet if you braided her hair, it’s not like she has the energy to do it herself anyway, it’s waaaay too much work. That girl doesn’t even pull her socks all the way up, like c’mon-

You guys play games on her phone, I hc that she is kinda obsessed with candy crush.

I feel like the only things she truly shows interest in openly is her phone, and you.

Ennui often tells you that you’re overly sweet, and kinda tease you about it. Like, not in a mean way, she just points out how romantic and all you are, and comperes you to a cupcake or something.

“Mon Dieu, you’re always so sweet, it’s sickening. You’re like a little walking cupcake, all giggly and cute”

Sometimes she kind of feels bad for how little effort she puts into anything, especially with you being so charming and romantic, so she would try her best to put in a little extra work. She’ll probably call you some pet-names in French, like mon amour, or mon chéri. That, and she’ll make sure to give you some hugs whenever she can, like she’ll wrap her arms around your waist from behind whenever you’re both standing by the console.

She loooves to lean on you!

Ennui isn’t usually phased by your flirting, she finds it cute and kinda cheesy. She might roll her eyes or smile a little, but sometimes, when you say something that really gets to her, she’ll stiffen up, her eyes go wide and she gets a dark blush across her face. I don’t think Ennui’s usually that blushy, but if you’re lucky, and use the right words, you get to see it from time to time. <33

~Anxiety physical affection hcs~

I think Anxiety would really enjoy physical affection, especially from her significant other. In the movie she is pretty touchy with all of the emotions she interacts with, so it’s probably safe to say that she’s comfortable with physical touch.

I feel like she would be a bit scared to directly ask you for stuff like hugs or cuddles, in fear of coming off to strong or demanding. She might subtly hint at it, sitting herself slightly closer to you, mentioning how it’s a bit cold in here, all those tricks, and she’s so cheesy with it too.

“Boy, it sure is freezing in Riley’s mind today.. if only a very pretty significant other of mine would be oh so kind, and help me warm up”

Other times however, I feel like she would get sudden bursts of confidence and just hug onto you. Anxiety is defo extremely clingy, though she apologizes for it a lot. She just can’t help it!

Emotions like Ennui or Anger might tease you two for how lovey dovey you’re being all the time, causing Anxiety to hide her face away in embarrassment, whilst letting out a whimper. Either that, or she would roll her eyes at them, she sometimes gets low key sassy in the movie, like when she slapped Envy’s hand away.

She probably loves sitting squished together with you in her massage chair whenever she’s stressed. Listening to your heartbeat and letting the chair massage the both of you always calms her down, causing a large and goofy smile to spread across her face.

Whenever something happens to Riley that stresses her out, she would probably immediately reach out for your hand, squeezing it tightly, like a lifeline (you probably told her to do that instead of pulling at her hair so much, it’s not good for her).

Anxiety is suuuuper blushy, you can’t tell me otherwise. If you give her an unexpected kiss or hug, she might just scream out of surprise, then blush like crazy whilst apologizing-

We all know that Anxiety struggles a lot with sleepless nights, due to the book ‘go to sleep Anxiety’. Origami helps her a lot, but cuddling with her lovely partner helps even more~

Anxiety loves feeling your arms around her and hearing your soft breath at night, it makes her feel protected and safe<33

Honestly I feel like her main love language would be words of affirmation (she really needs the reassurance that you actually love and care about her), but physical touch would be right behind it.

When it comes to kissing, I feel like Anxiety would be reaaaally anxious about it. She would most definitely over-analyze it, researching how to be an awesome kisser #rizz (omfg I gotta stop)

She probably watched some YouTube tutorials or smth

Once she’s gotten the hang of it, and had a few experiences, she stresses less about it though of kissing.

Just be careful she doesn’t accidentally swallow you whole with that big mouth of hers/jk

Anxiety loves giving you sweet little kisses on the cheek and on the top of your head, she feels it shows that she cares.

She would probably be a bit more nervous about full on “on the mouth” kisses, not to mention make out sessions, and would prefer it if you took the lead of those activities, instead of her.
