Pride surged in his chest as Don realized he’d finally, finally managed to catch Jacob off guard. Donald knew Jacob hadn’t thought he would be brave enough to back up his words, but Don couldn’t let him win this. For all the times Jacob teased him about being inexperienced, he was a very quick learner, and now was his chance to prove it. He knew it wasn’t real, they’d both sworn not to let this change their friendship… even so, a part of him wished, hoped that maybe it could be real, somehow. Nothing would come from thinking of that though, so he pushed that hope down and continued his task of trying to make Jacob cry out.
He feels a little dizzy suddenly, feels like his knees are gunna go weak and damn it --- as much as it had felt like a challenge before not to react, he wants to give in. Jacob draws back from him after a moment to look at him, breaths coming in heavy pants, eyes a little wild. And then he surges forward without even thinking about it, pressing his mouth to the other man’s. They’d be kissing in front of other people, wouldn’t they? Better to get that awkwardness out of the way now, wouldn’t it? And maybe that’s what he’ll say in a moment when Don asks him what the hell prompted that, but it’s certainly not the reason he does it now. Truth be told, he isn’t even sure why he wants to, only that he does.
