you’re on your own kid is for all the people who were bullied for being different when they were in middle school who thought that their career dreams were their ticket out of their suffocating hometowns & loneliness (“someday I’ll be big enough so you can’t hit me” from mean, anyone?)… but after all the years of sacrifice & work (“I gave my blood sweat and tears for this”) when they finally made their dreams come true, they looked around & realized that they were still dealing with the same loneliness and insecurities of their youth, just from a better view
