It’s still odd for me somedays that I have a Dad who craves being a Dad. We as a community always talk about “make sure to make room for your caregivers head space too!” And I had always tried but in the past they never took it. I had thought I was being cruel so I’d try even harder to involve them. Like well what do *you* prefer. Or what makes *you* feel needed and wanted in head space” and it was always *shrug* idk. Whatever you like. And now as I’ve grown and watched others and watched myself I’m taking a minute to forgive myself. I wasn’t being cruel or not leaving space for them. They just genuinely didn’t want it. The extent of their desired interaction with ag-play was “ill do what you want because I love you and I want you” OR “I’ve never had this much attention from girls in my life let me play this up when it benefits me”

But this is different. When I set aside space to uplift her space. She starts taking the stairs two at a time while dragging me along right next to her. She indulges in her fatherhood. She *reveals* in her fatherhood. She is the one constantly looking for new ways to feel more Dad. (Like her new Dad bag she just got so even when we are out she can feel the littleness just like I can with the dummy always in my pocket.) she created spaces in her office (a huge one now!!) from the first day she got her office for me to be little in. Even though (before I understood it like 3 years ago) I kept saying “I have a whole playroom I don’t want to take up more of your room for your things!” (She said “you are my thing” hehe) but that set up wasn’t for me. It was for her. It’s so even during the hard parts of her day she can peak over and indulge her brain in the fantasy even just for a minute. Which for her- gives her mental release just like it gives me when I let my little me be out. Her mugs are always Dad or Dad joke related. Her clothing options contain shirts and sweatshirts that say Dad or have bandit on them (Daddy loves bandit!) I have bought her some of them but she’s mostly gotten them for herself because she loves them and can’t help herself when she sees a good Dad shirt whether I’m there or not. She’s obsessed with shopping for me in stores where she can loudly ask “do you think she’d like this” (clearly *to only us* asking me if I’d like it) but in a way that’s safe for the public for her to be Dad in public.

She just loves being a Dad. And I’ll just never get over it. Because as much as I’m into ag-play I’m even more attracted to the people who are into ag-play.
