I moved to Chicago from DC this past summer. I moved thinking I would get a flight attendant base transfer from Ronald Reagan National airport to Chicago O'Hare International airport. But it didn't happen right away. I wasn't able to switch airports. So, a few months passed by, and I was like yepp this is the month!! I'm gonna be based where I live. And it still didn't happen. 5 months. 6 months. 7 months. Nothing. For the past 8 months, I have started every single day and have prayed that the Lord would allow me to be based out of ORD. So I don't have to sleep on the couches at the airport in DC any more. So I don't have to skip showers. So I can start work and end work at home in Chicago. It's been discouraging and it has been so dang hard to have patience and wait. Well today is the day I got the best news of my entire life (ok it seems like it at least). Y'ALL I AM GONNA BE A CHICAGO BASED FLIGHT ATTENDANT!!!!! 8 months of discouragement and frustration and living out of my suitcase and I did it!!! I did it!!!
