This Thing Called Life

I am successful

I am better than I was yesterday

I am learning from my mistakes 

I am healing 

I am loving myself through all phases 

I am creating a life worth living

I am believing in myself

I am moving through my fears 

I am forgiving myself 

The silence inside me is too loud to hear.

My mind is racing and all I do is fear.

Survival is a process every year. 

As I declare to get rid of despair. 

I prepare with prayer 

and all I can do is wish I was not there.

This is so unfair.

I can hardly bare

and others are so unaware.

Every time I try to repair, I tear.

Can someone just care? 

As a child, you want to grow up so bad.

They don’t teach you how hard life can be.

Heartbreak, Self Love.

These things are important,

Please pass this onto your children.

Allow them to feel.

Allow them to love themselves and others.

Teach them self love is necessary in this cruel world.

Teach them independence is a virtue. 

Teach them kindness is a cherished trait.

Teach them to not allow the harsh world to change who they are in this world.

We have no control over people,

People can take a lot of things away from us,

The one thing people cannot take from you are your memories.

Memories are ours.
