Miksha thought for a moment as she tapped her nails against the counter. A small sly smile crept onto her lips. “What kind of friend is it? That might make it so I can help you a little better.” She said moving to rest her weight against the counter again.

“It’s eh for a girl. One of my closest friends. Sort of like a belated Christmas present slash apology for spending so much time in the garage” he explained, shifting awkwardly. “I have no idea what to get her and I don’t want to y’know... mess it up”

“Well, that’s the best part!” Rydel said holding her new treasure close to her heart. “I only got it for five dollars at the thrift store. They said I could have it cheap since it’s been practically collecting dust.”

“Well each to their own. Everyone has their tastes” he shrugged, not knowing what else to say. He didn’t have any knowledge of the subject and there’s no was he was going to pretend. “As least you got it cheap”

“Well, of course it’s a mask, silly.” She said chuckling and waving the thing before him. “See, it’s got eyes here and it’s all decorated! I bet it was used for scaring things away. Does it scare you?”

“I’m not much of an art guy.” he admitted “No, a mask doesn’t scare me. The price of something like that might but that actual thing doesn’t” 

Almost skipping in from the snow, Tilly gently shook the snow from her hair and popped her head through the door hoping that she wasn’t interrupting. “Tatum?” she called out to let her friend know she’d arrived “Are you ready to go? If you’re caught up we can rearrange”

He could see her skipping by the window from the corner of his eye and that prompted a hidden smile to surface on his face. “In here!” he replied while the customer was complaining away  about not being able to get his car until the morning. Seeing her head pop through the door was enough for him to shut down whatever rant the customer was on before he sent him on his way “No” he answered a little too quickly “I’m just finishing up here. C’mon let’s go” Tatum smiled and ushered the blonde out of the garage before locking up.

jasmine sighed. this was not how ‘running away’ was supposed to go. as she looked at the guy helplessly, she tilted her head to the side, “it can’t just be fixed now??” she asked naively, never having to wait for anything before, especially overnight. “so i guess this means have to walk home, huh??” 

“Unfortunately not. I’ve got plans that I can’t flake on. There was a notice put on the door about it” Tatum explained with a shrug “I can give you a lift to your house if you’d like but your car won’t be fixed until the morning, so it’s up to you”

               — karina glanced at her car (an old nissan sentra) with a visible frown. “ well i live quite a ways away … ” she said quietly. she had left robin at home with teddy, and wasn’t keen on calling him to pick her up. that, and she had class the next morning. “ if it isn’t too bad then i’ll just take it home and bring it in another time if that works better for you. ”

A sigh left his lips. Naturally the one day he plans to shut up shop early, someone has a car emergency “I can give you a lift home and drop the car off to you in the morning once i’ve looked over it. I don’t feel comfortable letting you drive in it if you’ve brought it in for me to fix it”

“That’s perfectly fine Tatum, thank you” she smiled “I don’t need it until tomorrow afternoon properly anyway. I hope the car won’t be too much of a bother for you”

“Not at all, no car has ever been too much bother. Nothing but the best for the town mayor” 

     noah crossed his arms. he wasn’t upset by any means but it was certainly a little hard to get around when your car was missing a bumper. “i mean,” he sighed, “yeah, that’s fine. do what you need to do! i’m just glad you can do anythin’ about it at all, really. i love my car to death ‘n i don’t plan on gettin’ rid of her soon, but she’s a piece of junk.”

“I’m sorry Noah, I really am. You know I’d normally stay and fix your car no bother” he apologised. “I know you do and trust me when I say she’s not going anywhere. I’ll get the bumper back on, polish her up, do an M.O.T and you’ll be back on the road before lunch” Like he was going to ever leave one of the boys without their beloved car.

that’s ( tatum wilson ) walking down the street, the ( twenty ) year old, who looks like ( thomas hayes ). here in apple peak, they are an ( engineering student at apu & head mechanic at the garage ). some say he act(s) like ( the other twin lost boy ) from ( peter pan ), since he can be ( protective ), but also a little bit ( rowdy ).
