A few extra details from this little beauty that Iāve been riding for a little bit by now and that itās as smooth as if it was brand new! The gears shift easily and precisely with the vintage feel of shifters on the down tube. The frame is marked 0R55A, but I canāt seem to find a registry that tells me itās precise year of build.
Lagging - Moser Giro Shimano 105 7v
This blog is going slow. For some reason I didnāt want to share the newest developments of my on going project before it hit a stop. Itās not like Iāve been idle in this time though. For instance I got myself deeper into the vintage bikeās world by purchasing a F. Moser from the very early ā90s. Iām not completely sure about all the details regarding the bike, but I will list all the datas I know and maybe someone will bring in some extra input later on!
The frame is made out of Oria CSS 52 steel and it says itās a āSpecial build frames GIROā. It sports a complete 105SC 7 speed group, including steering set, bottom braket, hubs, brakes and pedals (not shown in pictures but I have both click and cage pedals for it). The wheels consist of Galli Giro rims and Shimano 105 hubs. According to the years of produciton of this specific Shimano group the bike must have been built between 1990 and 1992. The rims had a much longer production span. The saddle itās a Vetta 200 in black leather. Tyres are new, Vittoria Zaffiro 23c, very much needed and put in during a recent service that the bicycle has undergone.
And this was our morning at the office... :)
Tatterās Creations itās an offspring of my brain and it has ties, you might want to think, with what Iāve done before, so maybe you might care to have a look at the blog above! :)

And here we are again! It's 10:45 am and the second priming coat has just been layed down, now we'll let the day go by and possibly this evening we'll give it a first varnish coat! Nice little tidy job! And now there's a lot of time left of the day to do more research... š
The cellars and garages of America hold hundreds of thousands of fine road-style bikes from the 1970s and '80s. Many of these bikes are of very high quality, but are going unused either because of older technology in the gearing, or because their racing-style riding position no longer suits the needs of their aging owners. Many of these bikes are too good to throw away, but nobody wants to ride them as they are currently equipped. This article explores options and alternatives to get these great old bikes back on the road.
Food for thought... Kind of lean food, but itās always better than nothing! :)
Ok, so hereās where we start: I got out of the dust my old, very old, much older than myself bicycle that I bought and used through the Uni years, and now Iām going to make a fantastic hipster bike out of it. Sheāll be a bit ashamed because of that but sheāll look great, Iām sure!!! :)
At this stage: varnish from a previous, amateurial coat has been removed (see the blue bit inside the bottom bracket housing?), steel cleaned and masked and the first coat of primer has been layed. Now another coat of primer awaits... Keep it cool!
IGWS (It goes without saying) that of <3 course <3 Iāll keep you posted about new developments and great news of some sort, so donāt miss a post on this new fantastic blog!!! XD
