Boogie Woogie Blueger Boy

Henry took another sauntering step towards him, an exaggerated sway to his hips. “What are you waiting for, Lexapro? Are you too pussy to pull the trigger? I thought you said I needed to die.”

Ed held his ground and lightning crashed across the sky right on cue, the gunshot buried in the loud rumble of thunder. Henry faltered for a second, and then he burst out laughing. Ed scrambled away, fully aware he had no plan B. 

“Ow. You shouldn’t have done that, darling.”

Edward tossed the gun into the bushes and took off running, the wind picking up at his back. He turned to look over his shoulder and Henry was right in front of him. He went to swerve and stumbled instead, falling to his knees and scraping them against the hard asphalt. Henry pounced on him, pinning his wrists as he straddled him. Blood poured through the small holes that peppered his chest. He leaned down and licked the sweat from Ed’s forehead, the trail his tongue left cool in the hot August breeze. 

“Jealousy doesn’t suit you, Edward. And don’t say that isn’t what this is. It’s always been about jealousy with you, ever since middle school. You bitch and moan and whine about how I always take things from you, but you’ve never taken the initiative to have them in the first place! It wouldn’t be so easy to steal from you if you weren’t frozen in one place all the damn time. Ha, guess I’m the unstoppable force and you’re the immovable object, Ned darling. Why don’t we see which one wins, once and for all?” 

Henry brought his wrist up to his mouth and used his teeth to slice a large gash in it. Ed squirmed. He didn’t know where this was going but he didn’t like it. He didn’t trust Henry anymore. He didn’t know if he ever did. Henry planted his bony knee firmly in Ed’s gut, knocking the air out of him. He leaned closer to Edward’s face, his own blood dripping from his mouth this time, his teeth unnaturally sharp, his pupils so blown his eyes looked black. 

“This will only suck a lot, Lexapro.”

“Fuck off, Ozempic.” 

Henry grinned and pressed his bloodied wrist to Ed’s mouth, his free hand covering his nose so he had no choice but to take in the blood flooding his mouth.
