A few weeks ago I sat down and worked out which tattoos correspond to which gods in the Elven Pantheon. There’s actually enough lore out there to do this with a reasonable amount of certainty. 

Andruil: Bow to represent Goddess of the Hunt

Dirthamen: Book to represent where the Dalish keep their secrets/lore.

Elgar’nan: Cracked earth and dark/light. Duality theme from legend.

Falon’din: Same general shape of Falon’din’s statues. Less organic than the other tattoos; Falon’din is the God of the Dead.

Ghilain’nain:  Mother of the Halla. These are obviously halla horns.

June: God of the Craft. Brought woodworking to the Dalish. In return the Dalish emblazoned the most basic tools of the trade across their FACE. Awesome.

Mythal: Tree. Mythal returned life to the world after Elgarn’nan fought with the sun. Mythal’s flame is kept near the Tree of the People in the center of Alienages. Lingering scrap of Elven culture? Single trees are planted over dead bodies. Life from death. 

Sylaise: Hearthkeeper. Gave fire to the Dalish. Can clearly see a torch in the tattoo. Also vines/rope, other marks of Sylaise, and thread/cloth detail on the complex version.

We didn’t know because we hadn’t paid attention, that we got free copies of Neil Gaiman’s new book at the signing.

Since we already had bought and brought a copy, and he was signing as many copies of the new book as you wanted, we got all three signed.

A creative group of metal workers from the village of Deulina, near the city of Ryazan in Russia, created this awesome one-of-a-kind Steampunk locomotive barbecue pit. Weighing 4 tons, this functional work of art was skillfully forged from scrap automobile, motorcycle, and train parts.

"…the locomotive has three work bays – two 60-cm-long grilling pits in the main body and a trailer that acts as a stove. The first compartment is designed for barbecuing kebabs and can accommodate up to twenty skewers, while the second one is equipped with a rotating spit for roasting chicken and large pieces of meat. Some of the locomotive parts are actually functional, like the large brass wheel in the cabin that rotates the spit."

"The inside of the locomotive furnace is lined with fireclay bricks and while barbecue charcoal can be used as “fuel”, the Wizards of Deulina (as its creators are referred to in the Russian article) recommend birch or oak logs for extra flavor. Equipped with three smokestacks, the locomotive grill doubles as a great smokehouse."

Guys, this is super important, it’s sliding in under the radar because the legislature slipped parts of the Heartbeat Law that didn’t pass into the BUDGET.
