Then it’s settled! I’ll come with you! Come, Haruhi! The girl stood there for one whole second just blinking up at the tall blonde boy in front of her. “Seriously?” she asked silently in her head, one eye twitching. “What part of No way, I can handle this on my own does this guy not understand?” But her thoughts were interrupted as she was pulled along by the guy in question to her (preconceived) doom. “Hey!” she yelled, still caught off guard as he dragged her along through the school and around corners and down steps. Fine, he was coming with her. Whatever. But he could maybe slow down a bit?! He seemed so excited.. It was just the market. “Wait,” she said, pointing to the way she’d use to walk to the market from the school. But then she saw what Tamaki was looking at—his expensive car complete with chauffeur. “Of course.. You’ve already got a car waiting,” Haruhi deadpanned, staring at the thing in disbelief as he dragged her towards it. She didn’t think she’d ever get used to how rich people did things. This even seemed too well-thought out to just be a thing of chance. She took her seat in the car after he opened the door for her (which she could very well do on her own, she didn’t fail to remind him) before voicing her puzzlement over the situation once he was inside with her. “The car was already here, but the club doesn’t even end for another hour… Were you planning this, Tamaki-senpai?” She didn’t actually think he would be that clever to plan something like this—that seemed more along the lines of something Kyoya-sempai would accomplish. And anyways, why would he? Maybe rich people really do just have drivers waiting at all times.
Tamaki climbed into the car after Haruhi and sat next to her. "Driver!" he said "Take us to the commoner's market!" His voice was commanding, like he was talking to his Host Club about one of his schemes. He chuckled to himself. This outing was going to be wonderful. The other boys could take care of Host Club business until he and Haruhi returned. He turned to Haruhi and smiled. "Planned?" he asked her innocently, tilting his head just slightly to the right. "No, Haruhi, I didn't plan this. I just thought this would be a wonderful occasion to go to the market and you can teach me many wonderful things about the culture of the commoners." He smiled bigger and absentmindedly hummed his favorite song. The only words going through his mind were "I'm going to the market with Haruhi," thought in a kind of sing-songy way.
The market wasn't far, and as they arrived, Tamaki's face became glued to the glass. "This is it, right Haruhi?" he asked the girl, dressed in boys clothes. No one could tell the difference. She was so cute as a boy AND as a girl. Because of that, she would probably repay her debt soon. The only bad part about that was that then she would probably leave the host club. That made Tamaki sad. So he decided to concentrate on the task at hand. The market!

Tamaki grabbed Haruhi's hand and started for the door to music room 3. Shopping. He was going shopping with Haruhi! His little girl! He, himself, almost didn't understand why he was so excited to go shopping at a commoners market. But something about it he just loved. He loved the commoner culture. He loved any kind of culture that he wasn't familiar with. He was fascinated by them. Tamaki devoured things different than what he was used to. He learned everything he could so that he could continue to make the people important to him happy.
Maybe on this trip, he could figure out what made Haruhi happy. Granted Haruhi wasn't a client. She was a host. A female student pretending to be a male host. That didn't mean that he didn't want to make her happy. All father's wanted their daughters to be happy. And he was no different. Besides, she looked so cute when she smiled. He practically ran to the car that was already waiting for them, Haruhi in hand. Then he smiled and opened the door for her.
