"I've never been a bia fan of the holidavs. I don't hate 'em, none of the ba humbug crap, it's just...not for me."
"And credit to Sofia and Mason and everyone for trying to include me every year. I love and appreciate all of 'em, but I know l'm just bringing down the mood."
"That's whv I'm better off on the streets, hand delivering criminals coal on Christmas Eve."
"And you know what really pisses me off? When I get these goons by the collar and beg and plead: "please, I got a family!" or "I'm just do'n this for my kid!"
"Any other night, mavbe I'd aive 'em the beneft of the doubt, any other night. But on Christmas Eve?
"You're okay with vour kids thinking it's Santa knocking at the door only to find a cop!"
"You're tellin' me that you're okay with the thought of your kids waking up in the morning missing a parent?"
"If your kids were so god damn important, you'd be there with them, not trapped here with ME!
"If anything, I'm doing 'em a favor! The gift of removing a bum ass deadweight from their lives! Who does nothing but draggs his problems with him everywhere he goes!"
"..kids deserve a Merry Christmas, as many as they can before they learn how the world really is. Before they learn how sad and cruel people can grow up to become."
This short story was inspired by the Holiday Hunter suit for The High Rolling Spider-Man.
Also, I can understand why the holiday's can be a hard time for some people. While it may not mean much, I hope you know that you belong somewhere.
You will always have a seat at someone's table and they will love and accept you as if you were family.
I hope everyone finds their table!
