We come into this world fresh off the wings from the previous

Our minds untainted from insecurities and fear

Fully aware of our exterior beauty and that of within

Growing up we are shown worldly standards and how we don’t compare

Discriminated for our differences instead of being valued for them

Creating in us thoughts and fears of not being good enough

Our assignment is to go back to the mindset we once had

Allowing our spirit’s light to shine truth on our mind

Healing the diseased ego that keeps us in suffering

Returning us to a place where we are grateful for our body and personality

Where we love ourselves unconditionally so that we can truly love those around us

May we with each day work on returning to our original selves

The post-op surgical patients always request me to be their nurse because I keep them in stitches.

There was a new doctor on my unit that would randomly blurt out words like "Hepatitis!" , "Tetanus!" , and "Flu!". I asked my coworker what was going on with him. My coworker said, "Don't mind him. That doctor thinks he calls all the shots."
