Boom! Another one done! Not a complete scene trace this time, more a mash up of my favourite parts of different shots. Liu Fengmang is probably not on model as a result but I think I got him close enough! Spent too much time deciding what kind of expression he was making with his mouth haha And Xiao Nian gets all the pretty water and rainbow effects I can make cos he deserves it <3

Gods I love these guys. Can't wait to see more of their shenanigans animated when they get around to making season 2. The manhua really didn't let up XD

And done! Man it feels good to do compositing like this again. Was cheeky and worked on it between gaps in my job, it was too distracting XD Might do a version of this in the dawn palette used at the end of episode 1 when Bai-Ge makes his entrance. (>v<)/

Decided to get back into compositing practice after being in a slump for a lil while. Prepare for some screenshot redraw/comps! :D Started with drawing the frame from scratch, now on to after effects!!!

The creature of all time <3 I thought Red Thorn already looked pretty goofy in the donghua but comic version is on a whole other level! XD Also for any who finish watching the first season, there's videos on youtube of the comic dubbed and puppet animated that I think go further in the story. It also has a bunch of moments that the anime didnt adapt so well-worth checking out. <3
