what's one thing you think the fandom could improve on and why?

actually listening to and taking care of each other. my asks are full of anon messages from people who are telling me X or Y person makes them uneasy in groups. or that person A is really racist in DMs and they're worried about being associated.

we have to listen to each other and actually start saying something when someone hurtful is in this space.

I know I haven't posted one of these in a while but I don't want to post replies without addressing the BritishTakarazukaFan tweets. I've received a number of asks about it and I do not associate with that person or know them aside from in passing. However I do have multiple asks of people reporting they were uncomfortable around them for some time. Please be careful in these fan spaces, I know people don't like when I maintag from this account but this is more serious than any drama/gossip I get submitted. This person was awful, said awful things, and made people uncomfortable to interact in fan spaces. I am attaching the screenshot for context and while this person has apparently deleted all accounts this is the kind of thing we cannot tolerate as a group. Trans people are valid and their lives are threatened every single day. If you see other fans saying stuff like this do not be afraid to call them out. Tweet screenshot is below TW

I think a LOT has changed in the intl fandom yeah. Most of the people I enjoyed the most have really faded out because of a bunch of reasons. I feel like there is a very different vibe now and I don't love it

I know all of our favs are problematic in some ways because they are just people, but since I don't follow any Sienne on her social media accounts, all of these news are actually shocking and new to me. I was just about to post a bunch of 1789 stuff, including Seijou Kaito, and I'm really thankful for this anon. Are there any more names to be aware of? I really want the fandom to be a safe place for everyone...i'm kinda sad now :(

Yeah it's really shocking and understandably upsetting! The Seijou Kaito stuff was especially bad because a few ENG fans were in her club or went to her ochakai. I hear rumors and see screenshots of problematic things all the time but honestly its more of an issue with the company I think. The whole company promotes toxic ideals and things that make anyone bigoted think they are right to think the way they do. This is why I don't give them my money personally and just send it directly to/through siennes. I don't judge anyone for their choices though, I think listening to the experiences of others and following or keeping up with OGs will give you an idea on who to avoid too. A lot of fans know stuff, as we can see from my inbox.

I heard in the podcast about Red River / Citrus Breeze -Sunrise- and also later in Discord that a Sienne posted discriminatory things on her social media. And at this point I'm too afraid to ask who it was and what exactly happened.

Ugh yeah I had heard about this too, I don't remember who it was. AFAIK there have been a few different social media dramas with siennes in recent years.
