So I just read this concept in a thing (one of those weird story app ads) and now I totally want to explore this further because it sounds really interesting.

It was set in a werewolf pack setting but honestly that doesn't need to happen.

The idea was that everyone has mate and on a certain birthday you find out who your mate is (could be by any way really) but just because they're you're mate doesn't mean they are the one you're in love with. And the lost of mate or rejection of a mate can have serious consequences. For example makes healing harder to do, makes them weaker, ect. And the body reacts to it and it becomes very difficult for the other.

The plot I saw was muse a gets rejected by their mate who is in love with another with another. Shortly after this muse a got hurt and rescued by muse b, who'd lost their mate previously.

But honestly anything with this concept would be cool.

So I'd love to have something where one of my more chaotic muses (sonny, Robin or fletcher, ajay) is someone's ward and exploring that sort of dynamic.

Like either their the ward to a royal and are constantly (on purpose or accidentally) making the crown look bad or are having to be trained to be good.

Or are the ward to someone who's been banished and they're constantly making that issues among the banishment or stepping into places they're not allowed

Or the ward to a Knight and keep getting in trouble and causing fights.

Or the ward to a powerful magic person and keeping messing up everything like pouring potions wrong and stuff.

Basically I want the dynamic of young ward cause many issues for the person in charge of their care (high likely in a fanasty, or historical setting)
