if i'm doing stuff like splitting wood, digging holes, heavy manual labor, my back feels great

but yesterday i was pruning fruit trees and as part of that job also removing the watering rings i have for the trees - these are about 20' lengths of poly tubing with drip emitters that are hooked up to pipes at each tree to help them through our parched summers

these tubes are maybe a pound, two at most

but bending down to the ground to unscrew them from the pipe and doing various things to clean them for the coming irrigated times just goes %$#!@%~ to my mid-back! nothing hurts my body so much as this near-zero-weight bending down shit

so as i was recuperating lying on the floor last night (hot tub was fantastic later) i came up with this idea in my mind

a sensor that's worn on the torso that reads inclination so it knows if i'm upright or bending over and how far

and then something that gives me a fucking electric shock if i bend over too far

squats are safe for me, i can slav squat just fine, i just need to get trained to do it automatically before my back starts hurting

this sensor could be useful at my desk job too

have another inclination sensor on the upper leg, if sitting is detected, zap if slouching
