#zyn lost

Tried making callbacks to my bday drawing from last year, but I made it happy :)

But man. A shit ton can definitely happen over a year… I think I’m doing much better now than I was before…

Shortly after being taken in by the Losts, Zyn (then known as Emory. She doesn’t change her name for a long time) had trouble eating normal foods anymore, except the occasional sweet treat, after eating her biological parents and a few angels from her church (I’ll go more in depth into that in another post. Just know that angel blood essentially made her immortal in a way). So every night while her new family was asleep, she’d sneak out to eat small animals in order to keep her hunger somewhat in check. Rabbits were her favorite, second to baby deer, which were hard to come by.

On one night in particular, it was more difficult to find and catch any kind of wildlife. So she ended up going farther than she normally would have after spotting a rabbit and taking off after it. Unfortunately, a farmer was already on the lookout for a fox that had been eating his chickens.

She finally caught the rabbit, immediately starting to rip into it. The farmer heard her and mistook her for the fox, grabbing his gun and shooting at her without hesitation. The bullet went straight through her head and killed her. For a moment anyway. The farmer went to investigate and was horrified to see that he had just shot a child. Just as he was about to take her to his cabin and call 911, she revived and was pissed about her meal being interrupted.

Poor farmer, just wanted to protect his chickens…

Next morning, Emory complained to her mother about having a headache, only to be met with a scream. Turns out people do that when you’re covered in blood and have a very visible bullet hole in the middle of your forehead.
