The Kickstarter page of Zory is live!
For the past couple weeks, I've been posting sneak peeks of the work I did for this upcoming app.
It’s kind of crazy to see my name up there alongside some of my favourite artists (Luisa Preissler, Fernanda Suarez, Astor Alexander and many more). I can’t thank Kate enough for asking me to join this project - because, as you know, I’m a big reader myself.
One of the rewards is the art print and digital version of a personal illustration of mine, The Mermaids.
When Kate reached out for a potential dust jacket, I mentioned a sketch I’d wanted to turn into a painting for ages and she loved it. I finally had the chance to work on my first and last personal illustration of 2021 - in Zory’s colours!
Now this art print will be available both as an included reward and as an add-on.
My second Zory illustration is a dust jacket and cover I did for RITA Award winner Emily McKay’s upcoming book Ultra Violence.

It’s been a while. A long, lonely while without company. But that all changes when, out of the blue, there’s a knock on the window. It’s Zory! His large wings are flapping hard, making the window pane rattle with the gale force. He gives a smile and a friendly wave, holding up a basket full of the promised goodies and pointing at it excitedly. @frenzys-furnace
TFW you decide to include queerplatonic Zoe/Mary in a fic you’re writing and you now have to decide what you want the ship name to be (I’m going with either zory or zary, because the only other one I could think of was moe and that doesn’t sound as great)
