btw. life updates. i was offered a full-time paid position in a microbiology lab for the next 2 years as well as a PhD position, and my first project was a collaboration with several universities + nasa. declined the PhD position but i now manage multiple projects and undergrads on my own. celebrated six months with my partner last weekend. buying my own car with all the $ i’ve saved over the past 3 years soon. learned how to shoot rifle and found out i’m a very decent shot. also learned how to skin and flesh animals after hunting/trapping. joined a dnd campaign. reading lots (nk jemisin has my heart rn). i continue to throw down in the kitchen (working on a brown butter chai carrot cake recipe rn and just had momos for dinner). taking classes again soon (molecular genetics lab and computer programming, very psyched), aaand today my uni did an alumni spotlight on me for disaster response. how is everyone doing
