So I got pulled into the ZOMBIES fandom...

And I just realized:

We know that sometime during the zombie apocolypse that happened in Seabrook, technology that would inhibit cannibalistic tendencies (or whatever it was) was created and distributed among the zombie population (most likely starting with the newly bitten who were still conscious(?) -if the viral zombie idea is/was applicable in this case- and then to any full-stage zombies who could be aprehended and held down long enough to put on and activate the wristband).

However, the exact number of zombies was most likely never well documented, and we don't know exactly how the wristband are distributed among the current zombie population. Along with this we know that poverty is high in the zombie community, which shows a lack of care from the government.

This raises 2 (if not several more) questions

1. Do current zombies have to pay in order to recieve the wristbands when they have a child?

And maybe more importantly

2. Are there zombies in the current zombie community who are full-stage zombies, and where are they?

Well, since it's spooky month and all, I decided to reshare my fan Bad Batch comic I made in 2023. The Bad Batch: Code Black!

A short story based on a What If scenario if Tech was infected by the Plague of Madness from Primal.

Three years ago today, I made Zombie Tech as a silly drawing after the heartbreaking Season 2 finale of Bad Batch. And... what started as a joke grew into something I grew too attached to.

Anyway, to celebrate his birthday, here's a new illustration and the older pieces of him throughout the years!

That is not Tech anymore. Just a husk held together by armor and skin. A body controlled by a sickness hellbent on attacking anything moving or breathing.

So, Zombie Tech finally got a redesign and proper ref sheet! I'm actually really happy with how this turned out. Though this was a challenge to tackle :')

And that's how the story ended. Originally, I had planned to make a sequel to this story but it got scrapped. Alongside my Predator comic. But hey, for an experimental comic, I had a lot of fun working on this in 2023!
