Zolarians are made by Kitty cat star and her three daughters, its a very simple process, the hard part is the channeling of the power, in case they have an accidental problem in using the power, the Zolarian can be born with a "flaw"

(My inspiration for this process was the diamond authority/gem creation in Steven Universe)

Those "failed" Zolarians, do not have a complete body, usually die a few days after birth

One of the Zolarians who failed and survived was Count Douglas. Some physical changes make him look slightly dog-like, and have trouble shapeshifting like the other Zolarians.

The main reason Count dougalas hates Ricky is envy, envy of his power, I'll go in depth later :3

Apart from that, Zolarians are really nice people!! Their society lives as almost constant peace

All Zolarians have a part of the power of Kitty cat star and her 3 daughters, their power is almost endless, and multiplies separately during the creation of a Zolarian

Since the planet Zolar is based on power, they have tons of studies on power, considered a more developed planet than Earth.

The main star (which is now guarded by Kitty Cat Star) was what started the planet, along with its formation the 7 suns and 7 moons were formed, which keep the planet in orbit.

The power of Zolarians varies slightly, a normal human (apart from Ricky ofc) can come into contact with a Zolarian, but cannot come into direct contact with their power, or with the 4 most powerful ones (Kitty cat star and her daughters)

Ricky can because he has part of the Zolarian DNA from the spider that bit him inside him.

Direct contact between a human being and Zolarian power can cause instant death, although sometimes it does not lead to death, the overload of the brain leads to a stroke, and the force of the force leads to broken bones and even organ failure.
