Making: Sturmisch Wolf, Part 4- Everything else

Series: Zoids

Kit: Tomy Konig Wolf, assorted Zoids parts.

Comments: The first picture was a dry fit after I remodified the hind legs, and shortly before I filled in the eyes, which you can see is done in the second picture. The majority of the leg armor was created from sheet plastic or plastic tubing, and cut and filed to shape. Layering plastic of different thicknesses is a very simple way to create surface details.

Comments: What I learned from this portion of the model is this- symmetry is hard to create, and even harder to maintain. Hence why one side is better defined and the other isn’t. Also, I wonder what I was thinking by NOT priming between changes. I think my original plan was to open up the head a lot more and insert a big piece of clear plastic and wire an LED, but it proved too difficult/pretty much impossible with the way I was modifying the head. So, routing out/opening the existing eye sockets was ultimately a waste of time and made things a lot harder in regards to the symmetry thing.
