She was by all rights a monster. A cosmic mistake. An abomination. The young hybrid had been called it all. However, insults were a dime in a dozen and she had been called them all - and none were near as bad as some of the things she told herself in the dead hours of nightfall. It seemed she could not go anywhere without having a target on her back, as if she wore a supernatural signal drawing all her enemies towards her. In a way, she did - that angel grace within her merging in such a sinister manner with her demon blood creating energy unlike any other, all nestled in the veil of humanity - with human emotions, human desires, human fears.
Wandering into a decrepit, vacated dwelling she saw the entity and her brow twitched just fractionally. Curiosity had a tendency to kill cats, but it would not be her demise. At least, it had yet to prove to be so. Biting her lip, she approached her tentatively. Would she be friend or foe? She sensed a familiarity about her, sniffing the air and finding herself in rapturous glee at the scent of her blood. Though she had grown better at restraint, she still was overwhelmed sometimes by the smell, the anticipation of intoxication. Shutting her eyes before they turned that bright yellow shade, she tried to regain some semblance of control, composure. When she gathered herself, her blue hues open.
“And who are you?”
