@ladytp it is so refreshing and light (but for the fried shrimp crackers/chips mayhaps)! what i love about vn salads are the fresh herbs! alas where i currently live, we are not blest with the fresh herbs (i had to go to three markets (i know this mayhaps be overkill especially in covid 19 world but i wore my mask and tried to socially distance) to find a raggedy anemic bunch of mint at a whole foods. i always like that the salads are crunchy, savory, yet sweet with a bit of heat!

Totally agree - the herbs and freshness make it!

Mint should be so easy to grow, but I have had varied success with it... sometimes it grows like crazy, on the ground or in the pot - and sometimes it just shrivels and dies... 🤔🙄

For now I have a promising pot growing inside, but we’ll see... And yes, I planted it specifically with Middle Eastern and Vietnamese cooking in mind! (the small on the top is sage - not doing so well).

Yes!! I love that different countries have different options, and sometimes related to traditional food in that country :) We have a McBifana here, which is inspired by the bifana which is this simple sandwich that’s eaten in every street fair that happens here :)

Probably never a coffee shop au.  They aren’t really the kind of fics that interest me.  Maybe not a barbershop au, but I might do something that incorporates hairdressing since that’s what I do.  Maybe it wouldn’t be the center of the story, but if I could find a way to work it into something I find interesting, sure, why not?

I honestlydon’t think I’d be very good at this, so no, I wouldn’t try this scenario,unless I really had to in the context of a Russian roulette, and then I wouldmake it very short. I think switching the genders around would change thedynamics that draws me to sansan too dramatically… So it would probably takethe interest away, in my case at least.

- As a Filipino, we have a lot of different dialects so apart from English and Tagalog, I also speak Hiligaynon (which is the dialect of my province) and a little Bisaya (Mindanao) and Karay-a (Iloilo). Aside from that, I am currently taking Japanese language classes and I can read (only) a little Russian.

2.  Do you think you could beat a lie-detector test?

-Nope. Lol. I think I will immediately fail the first question. 🤣

3.  What’s the last place you visited that made you think ‘yeah, I could live here’?

-Davao City? That's the only place I have visited for the past 2 years but I don't know if I want to live there. The place is really crowded and I hate big cities. So that may be a no.

-No.

-Cheese or yogurt.

- kill it. Lol. After screaming a bit.

- Adobo. Lol. That's a staple Filipino food, I think it's a sin if a Pinoy does not know how to cook it with or without a guide.

- Darth Vader or Van Gogh on my arm. Or Rise Atlantis.

10.  I need to sew a button back on this blouse, how long does it take you to put needle and thread in my hand?

- Really fast, lol. I always have a sewing kit nearby and thanks to home economics classes I have mastered the art of attaching the thread to the needle quick so lol.

11.  We’re starting a commune for fic writers.  What country should it be in?

- Japan? Idk but that's the first country that came into my mind.
