Meet Zigsaw!
Basically a dragon jack-in-a-box
(many changes have been made, Zigsaw was originally a deity who could turn people into gummy bears, of course now he is very mortal and can't do that anymore-)

Zigsaw is a little silly coil spring dragon who LOVES to pull pranks and scare the shit out of the others! He closes himself in the box and when an unfortunate soul turns the handle they get jumpscared
Of course this can get repetitive and once everyone knows that they won't touch the box anymore, so Zigsaw always tries to come up with new pranks.
Let's say that is mental stability isn't the best because he's a crazy little shit who laughs 24/7
You can literally say that your dog just died and he will laugh anyway (kind of a coping mechanism?)
Despite his crazy personality maybe deep down but very deep down- deeper than the Titanic wreckage there's some kindness. Something you can't reach cause it's too high up? No worries! He will stretch his spring coil neck and get it for you (he can extend his neck quite a lot- can literally wrap around you like a snake)
