In the UK it was the thirteenth volume and was first published in 1974. This is a UK softcover edition from 1979.

The 'bust' of Caesar on the cover is likely based on the Tusculum and/or Chiaramonti busts of Julius Caesar.

There is a touch of Laurel and Hardy in the way Asterix and Obelix are depicted here. Looking very pleased with themselves before something goes comically wrong.

This volume marked Obelix inventing the word "zigackly" which he uses instead of 'exactly' (after having had a bit too much to drink)...

...and also "ferpect" or ferpectly instead of perfect/perfectly.

🐰- do you believe in soul mates?There is a quote that comes to mind, but too vaguely for me to quote or find again, but it expressed the concept that we meet many soulmates in our lives. While I suppose concept of soulmate is supposed to go beyond the growth and change of us, the nuanced beings that we are, I do think that so many people, dear people, we encounter come to complete our souls in some way. Maybe they don’t stay forever, but they do something for us nonetheless, make us come to our full selves more, more whole. I don’t think it has to be romantic at all. And sometimes I feel like the person who’d be closest to it is the one I lost. That keen feeling of there’s an edge where you end and someone continued you, but doesn’t anymore because they’re not here. So, yes, in a way, but maybe not in most typical sense.

In childhood, all my dolls were flower fairies and I myself had extensive daydream about being mermaid so you can see why the choice is difficult for me. Overall, since I don’t actually know how to swim and given current state of the world’s waters, I think I will take the option of fairies.

🍭- how tall are you?I always have arguments with my doctor about this. I believe I’m 169cm something (5′6″), she insists I’m just 165 (5′5″ I think). I do not straighten up too much, really.
