Zhang Huai Shi is the eldest of three: younger sister Zhang Shu Qing and youngest bro Zhang Ke Yuan. He is kind and compassionate, helping out most everyone he comes across. However, his grudges last long and deep. He is a powerful cultivator like his father, and also like his father, has a tendency to rush into situations before really thinking about them. He is loyal and driven, and will do anything in his power to bring honor back to his family. Including going on a journey to deal with those responsible for destroying his sect and his father's golden core.

Unfortunately, this mission has distanced him from his family, and while his siblings have been growing up leaning on each other in a sect under the emperor's thumb, Huai Shi has been wandering the empire. They all no longer see eye to eye, but that does not dull Huai Shi's dedication to them.
