Let's say I cast Zethi, Arcane Blademaster, kicking it twice, causing me to exile 2 instants from my graveyard with kick counters. If I were to use a blink or flicker effect, would it cause me to exile two more instants with kick counters or would nothing happen? Love the page, thanks for all the help
When Zethi enters the battlefield anew after being blinked/flickered, she's a new object with no connection to her previous existence on the battlefield. That means she's entering fresh from exile and wasn't cast. Since she wasn't cast, she wasn't kicked, and since she wasn't kicked, X is 0 and so no new cards will be exiled by her trigger.
