Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cutting about 500 words worth of stuff that I REALLY LIKE from chapter three but it just works better for emotional pacing. Sigh

Yeah so they're really not kidding about the Ao3 author curse, huh? 😭 so glad it's a fresh new week now. This past week after posting chapter one has been WILD. I started my summer course (fundamentals of drawing, just finishing up a few elective credits with a 6-week course), and I got a text mid-first-class that my friend broke up with the guy she was going to marry (they'd been looking at rings, I'd never liked the guy, glad to see him go but heartbroken for my friend), we had a little hospital incident back at home, I met up with a family friend who's hiking cross-country, and the heatwave is pummeling us, and basically it's just been a hell of a week 💀 anyways, finishing up edits on ch 2 and I should be good to get that out this Friday but DAMN it's been a time, and I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. Glad to finally have some time to just sit and write for a bit! Anyways, barring any drastic last-minute changes to what I wrote months ago, we should be getting a brief Drew POV in ch. 2 (third limited still), so that's fun! Finishing final edits and html now.

Finishing final HTML edits before posting ch. 1. Why am I actually kind of terrified to post this lol? I know I can write. I know I've got good things in store. I know it'll be okay even if people don't like it. It's just nerve-wracking to go from oneshots to longfics. It's just something new and anxiety-producing, but something exciting, too (which, oddly enough, is kind of the theme of chapter one). Getting it ready to go, though!

Pre-post anxiety is KILLING ME. I'm going for it tomorrow, but internally it's all "What if everyone hates this/what if I abandon it halfway through/what if I decide I hate the plot/what if everyone ignores it/what if I actually suck at longfics and can only pace oneshots/what if my summary is shitty/etc etc etc" and tbh it's annoying but I shall persevere

Not to act like a middle schooler, but I'm approaching 69 bookmarks, which is truly a milestone of its own, if we're being honest.
