i'd like to think that before the kids met aster and top , ink would hype his dads up to them , making them the coolest people ever to the kids !

they absolutely love their grandpops and grandpapa !! and of course, they support the paper crane siblings' little mischief :D

although for xgaster, the kids' parents and everyone else avoids talking about the x-event to them , so they don't really know who he is .

buuuuuut in a hypothetical au if xgaster was just a granddad....

yeah...

and of course we can't forget about little collé :-) i'd imagine after crink's separation, when the star team and cross were unavailable to look after her for a bit, she'd stay with her grandparents until ink picks her up ! collé also adores and love them , hehe

Ink introduces Paperjam to his dads! Ive never seen any art of them interacting so when i thought of it I knew I had to draw it :))

The dadsters <3 I love them so much and it makes me sad that they get forgotten, but I also understand why.

I don't know how much use it would be for me to reiterate what is already out there, so I shall link to some good sources of information.

Some more fun facts I will make say because I love them:

Undetop Gaster has a cat plush named Zipper. Top and his son have a strained relationship. Aster is lawful neutral, while Gaster is chaotic good (the same alignment as Dream!). Ink was the one to marry them, and made their house (and helped with the rest of the AU overall). Aster is unable to leave Zephyrtop </3. When they were married, they exchanged souls :)

Okay now for them in the context of my writing/multiverse:

Something I've kept in mind for Both of their characters is that these people-- Top in particular-- are people that Ink has chosen as his family. I like to think that Ink met them early on, while he was still trying to figure out Who exactly he was and what he wanted to be. That means that, one way or another, they've all rubbed off on each other. And, to me, that means that Top and Aster have to be at least a little insane. I mean... it's Ink. It's said that Top bonded with Ink over the knowledge of the Multiverse and the wisdom around it, and going off of the written fics-- I get the sense that Top (and Aster to an extent) or both like. Pretty chill with the idea that they are creations in a story?? Of course there's some level of existential dread, but its at the point where Top can hear Ink out about Multiversal weirdness.

But anyway, they're both kinda insane to me. I think Ink gets a lot of his sense of humor and general snarkiness from them. But, I think he's also kinder because of them-- he sees how they treat each other and is like. oh Okay thats normal and thats how I should act.
