T H E J O U R N E Y ! It is always about the journey. period. I had gone to Sri Lanka, my Motherland for 17 days beginning of last month after 2 long years. Though I have been there several times before that regularly at intervals of 10 months, this visit was slightly different. ° It took only one main thing to make a huge difference. It seems silly but it holds so much gravity. The process stated in just three words but the metamorphose as a result of it were more than I can put in three hundred words; S O C I A L M E D I A F A S T ! ° When I say Social Media Fast, I mean literally all the Social Media Apps (Including Whatsapp) were "un-installed" the second I stepped into the boarding room of the flight to SL. I had no shaky hands and no thoughts on "missing out" on the "Grand Social World" of hundreds of celebrities on my list who did not even have a clue of my existence nor of the stories that my friends post of the meals they have several times of the day or the outfit they chose for a funeral of someone dear (Pun Intended). Infact, I was unfettered; Plugged off, Unreacheable, Untoucheable and living in the moment each second of my time spent in SL! ° I finished reading 3 books in the span of 17 days while I was traveling between states. I travelled to 5 districts several miles between each, using all the possible means of travel available in SL; Tuk Tuks, Public Buses, Trains and even drove a car for the first time in SL (Details later). I also bid farewell to my writer's block at the boarding gate as I started writting right on the flight while my fellow seat-mates snored away. Most memorable was me ticking off 3 activities on My Wish List (Posts to follow). Lastly, I must mention that I also decided not to carry my SLR Camera to this trip because I wanted to see the breath-taking places with my Naked eyes. Ofcourse I had my phone along but only for capturing flawed candid reality not to create perfection. Inshort; I have carried only memories with me and left only footprints where ever I went.
