Walking around here is so cool. With these sorts of buildings it was really hard to tell what, exactly, they were. This happened a few times in Tokyo too, there were some temple/shrine looking buildings that, instead of being open to pedestrians and seemingly having 24/7 outdoors usage, were locked behind a gate with a parking lot like American temples and churches. I’m not sure if the discrepancy means buildings like the one pictured are actually private residences and not temples or what.
