Estinien had just begun to answer Vrtra's question when his senses were overwhelmed at the sudden appearance of a familiar draconic presence. He turned to face where he knew the aetheryte to be without thinking, before remembering where he was. He cleared his throat, turning back to Vrtra, but the elder wyrm just chuckled.

"Go," he said. "Thy mate awaits."

Estinien felt his face flush at the word again. This was now the second time a dragon had called them such.

"Shall we continue this later, then?"

Vrtra nodded, and with his own returning bow Estinien turned and tried not to sprint out of Megadhuta. Once he was outside he scanned the cityline in the direction he could feel Kitali in, and a moment later a streak of blue shot up from the hole above the aetheryte. He took to the air before he could blink, and realised a breath too late that they were on a collision course. Accepting his fate he reached out to catch her as she rocketed into him, and together they spun towards the ground, landing in a heap.

Estinien had no care for how clumsy they must've looked. The city could be falling around them for all he cared. All that mattered was Kitali was here, laughing in his arms. He leaned up to press his lips to hers, heedless of the strands of hair trapped between them. Still laughing, she leaned away to shake them away before kissing him once more.

"Hi," she said when they took a breath.

"Hi," he repeated breathlessly. "Should you be throwing yourself around like this?"

She kissed him again.

"I'm not made of glass," she murmured. "And you caught me, didn't you?"

"S'ppose that's fair."
