Zaveriel "Zaves"
Pronounced: Zaa ver eel ("Zaa ves")
Occupation: messenger
Zaveriel, or Zaves as he's more commonly known as, is known by most as "The Flockless" because he has no official affiliation with either of the Four Flocks.
Given to Raphael after his "birth" to raise among his Flock, he then moved to Gabriel's when he came of age (think of it as the age a teenager is finally able to legally get a job) where he slowly climbed through the ranks until becoming Captain of Gabriel's Flight, The Principalities. Post Lucifers Fall and Gabriel's disappearance, the Messengers Flock was recast and resorted between the Flocks of the two remaining Archangels, Zaves was sorted into Michael's Flock as an affront to Gabriel in which every intention was in place to break the chaotic little messenger the Deserter was so fond of.
Michael severely underestimated Zaveriel and his loyalty to his beliefs.
Zaveriel was a Fallen for a short time, after an insult too many, and found a place among the Grigori who had escaped their prisons.
Using the knowledge imparted on him while under Nisroc's (the Captain of Michael's Flight, The Powers) "tutelage" mixed with the wisdom of growing up under Raphaels care and guidance while adding the tricks imparted on him by Gabriel's teachings he assisted the Grigori in freeing their own Captain, Semyaza.
Upon God's Return, the War coming to an End, and Heaven Reuniting, Zaves returned to Gabriel's side as he always intended to.
But refuses to pledge his allegiance to any singular Archangel in the Wake of the War. Knowing all his suffering, that's gone unmentioned, was simply to be as an affront to the Archangel he'd claimed as his Flock Commander.
Zaves is a trickster in personality, constantly joking around and pranking ANYONE he pleases to (including but not limited to The Archangels and God Himself), his pranks and jokes can be on the cruel side as was seen when he'd tricked a guard who'd abused a close friend of his into thinking he'd prepared him a Hot Spring to soak in as a peace offering between them and the guard was left with severe chemical burns over at least 65% of his body, to this day no one can determine the elixir that had been infused in the waters of the Hot Spring.
He can and does hold grudges.
Zaveriel is the only one to have the privilege of being able to say they Bested Archangel Michael, God's Sword, in the heat of battle (though in the end he was Cast Out so the true winner remains to be seen).
It's common to see him intermixing with the other Flocks. Spending time in the Infirmary under Archangel Raphael's watchful eye tending to patients. Sparring on the Training Field with Michael, Nisroc, or any one of the Powers. Whats most surprising is his ability to blend in with the Chior (sometimes Lucifer doesn't notice him there until it's pointed out to him by another).
