the oni flexes his arm to prove his point, a resounding laugh soon following. truthfully, having some weapons would be good idea, but they really didn't need any either. being an oni and raised by adepti respectfully already made them stronger than the average person, so surely weapons were only optional for them. rubbing his heads together, he couldn't help but get excited and testing his strength without his claymore.

it  did  not  belong  to  someone  who    (    usually    )    revered  neuvillette,  but  instead  another  soul  whose  struggle  with  their  inner  emotions  was  an  endeavor  he  wholly  sympathized.  water  contained  every  emotion,  memory,  &  the  chief  justice  felt  something  holding  her  back    ——    both  literal  &  self - created.  this  sensation  was  interesting  enough  for  him  to  close  his  book  &  spare  the  stranger  a  glance:  vibrant  eyes  blinking  slowly. utterly inhuman yet human.
