This happens right after Shinji is ejected from Unit 01, and Misato is giving Ritsuko a lift.

End of Evangelion - ep.25′ “Air / Love is destructive” The moment in which Misato Katsuragi, while transporting Shinji Ikari to Unit 01, explains the relationship and true nature behind the Second Impact, Adam, Lilith, the Angels, the Eva Series, and humanity itself.

Part of the ‘End of Evangelion’ Netflix english subtitles which had a key piece of lore info mixed up: Adam being a source of life, like Lilith is; *not* Adam coming from the source of life called Lilith. This same issue happened in older subtitles, but was fixed in later versions--Yet, it appears again in the recent Netflix ones, as evidenced. When compared, the english dub does communicate a more apt concept of what Misato is explaining at that moment in the film. Here’s the full correct subbed english version of Misato’s explanation.
