i mean honestly whenever my dad says stuff like that i just kind of

roll my eyes now

because i know that's how he is. he has a weird obsession with the whole "having emotions is a choice you can choose to feel the way you do" thing

i mean yeah that's true in some aspects but also unhealthy in way more if you don't allow yourself to feel or react to things

trust me the last time this happened was when my mom and i got hit by 16 year old drunk drivers and they totaled our car

i was diagnosed with minor PTSD

so cars pulling out on my right side would make me jump or scare me and about like a week or so after the accident my dad was just

"it was a week ago stop it"

and we went to a movie a month(??) later and in the movie there was a car accident interior view and it triggered me into a panic attack and i started crying and freaking out in the theater and my dad got pissed off at me and told me to get over it because it was just a movie

idk what's up with my dad but apparently all hell is on the loose if our mental states are less than perfect

and he's consistently paranoid about what other people think about ANYTHING like he gets mad at me if i walk "too fast" at walmart because "people will think i have issues"
